A New Addition

No, No, No! Not to my family, but
to one of my best friends and
bridesmaids, Suzanne. She and
her family welcomed
Sawyer Jackson Overstreet
to their family last Saturday.
He joins big sister Madalina
and big brother Fisher.
Everyone is doing well
and looking forward to
getting some more sleep!

Yeah...We Did It!

On Friday evening Emily, Michael and I were
awarded our yellow belts in TaeKwonDo.

It was an interesting experience. Our
Instructor had been clear in his instructions
on what direction we should come up to
receive our certificates and new belts.
Evidently Michael wasn't listening nor was
he paying attention to what everyone else did.
When called, he went up to the front from
the opposite direction. Of course the next
child followed his wrong path up to the
front. The instructor than announced
to everyone to please come up the other
side. Of course it would be my son who
would set the trend....the wrong trend!

We went ahead and trade the busted
up van for a brand new Chrysler.
Got a deal that was to good to pass
up. Of course at the dealership it
proved to be not quite as good a
deal as first presented. It never is!

Look...No busted up bumper! Yeah!!!!

Just A Few More From The Florida Game!

For the first time we entered the
stadium immediately after the
Vol Walk. We walked up to one
of the ramps to get a spot to
watch the band march in. What
a great view.
I couldn't pass up getting a photo
of this guy while waiting for the band.

Emily and Michael with the
University and loads of
fans behind them.
Stilln waiting for the band.

Oh how the mighty can fall.
I must have put a jinx on us
by snapping this shot. The
final score was TN 20 FL 21.

TaeKwonDo

Emily, Michael and I have started
taking TaeKwonDo. It is going
really well. I can't believe how
much I am enjoying it and how
much of a workout it is.

We tested for our yellow belts
last week. Here are Michael
and Emily in the ready
position before the testing.

Waiting for the testing to start.

Emily, Master Robinson and Michael
after the testing. We have our
awards ceremony tomorrow
and receive our new belts.

We'll see if it works!

This is the pre-game at
the Air Force game.
See what 95,000 fans
sound like spelling out

I apologize the footage
doesn't look better!

Look At The Van...

Well last weekend Dad decided
it was time to take advantage
of year end sales on 2006 model
mini-vans. Wouldn't you know
that as soon as we decided that
we would trade this one in on a
new one....I got rear-ended.
Thankfully nobody was hurt...
but look at my van! Yikes!

We are still on tap to try and
trade it in on Saturday in
Knoxville. Hopefully the
damage won't scare the dealer
too much!

Emily's 2nd grade teacher had
her birthday this week. Here
is a shot of her with the class.

By the way...What is Emily doing?

A Day At The Park

On Sunday we went and met up with
one of my sorority sisters in Knoxville.
We had a great time catching up and
watching the kids play in the fountain.
Jill and oldest son, Jonah.

You won't believe how hard it
was to get these four to stand
still long enough to snap a
decent photo!

Emily is always posing for the camera!

Jonah had lots of fun in the water!

So did Connor.

I Said It's Great To Be A Tennessee Vol...

Well I have to admit to being one of the
many who doubted my team's abilities
after the horrible performance last year.
Oh how glad I am that I was wrong...
at least for one game.

UT rolled, romped, slaughtered and
in every way beat pre-season top ten
California. What a way to enjoy our
first game of the season.

Here are some of the photos from
that glorious day.

How We Spent Labor Day

Yesterday, Labor Day, we drove up to
Gatlinburg. It was fun to walk around
and visit our favorite shops. Except for
a little rain, it was a great day!

The kids had to sit in the chair outside
the lift to sightsee up the mountain.
Makes them dream of winter
and going skiing!

We ate dinner in Pidgeon Forge at the Old
Mill Cafe. These were photos shot in their
courtyard. It was beautiful and the food
was GREAT!

Hope you all had a great weekend. We sure
did...if you don't already know why...tune in
tomorrow. Love to all... Laura
