AARGH!!!!!

A couple of weeks ago the kids
went to Vacation Bible School.
This year's theme was.....
"AARGH"
Aware
Answer
Repent
Grace
Him This is at the Friday night
closing program. The kids
were separated out by the
Children's Church (Michael)
and by Junior Church (Emily).
They sang songs they learned
during the week and performed
the movements with the song.
Many of the movements
incorporated sign language.

Emily and Michael won
a few of the raffle items
including two captains hats
and a pirate bandana.

They got to share them with
Mimi and Grandaddy!

Mema and Aunt Sherri came
and enjoyed the performance

It's Swimming Time in Tennessee

We had a great time in the
pool last week. Emily is
driving our new hovercraft.
It really drives and is steerable.

Michael got it for his birthday
last year from Gammy. The
kids think it is terrific.

Michael in his hovercraft.
I love this picture...looking
back over his bony shoulder.

Smiles!!!!
Emily can't and won't open
her eyes until she can get
her hands out of the water
and wipe her eyes.

Emily at Gymnastics

I took these photos at Emily's
Gymnastics class last Monday.

Just look at that toe point!!!
Can you get up in a bridge
and then lift your leg up
in the air and then point
your toe?
I wish I could do that!
Getting ready to dive roll!
Working on that headstand.

Natural Bridge

Over Memorial Day Weekend
we drove up to Virginia to see
Eleanor. We had a great visit.
On our way home, we stopped
by Natural Bridge. It is just
that, a natural bridge surveyed by
George Washington in 1750.

Thomas Jefferson bought it
from King George and had
the forethought to preserve
it as one of our nations
wonders. Highway 11
(I think) still uses it as a
bridge today.

Sharp Dressed Man

These were Michael's school
photos this spring. He loves
dressing up and would wear
his suit every Sunday to Church
if I'd let him. Lookin Good! The Pre-School Graduate!

have liked a less floral
background for Mr. GQ!

Locks For Love

About a month ago, Emily got
her hair cut and donated it to
Locks for Love. A local kids
haircut place did it for free
and sent the hair off for us!

Girls are required to donate
10 inches of hair. We had
11 inches to give to them.

We started growing her hair
25 months ago. I loved not
spending the money to cut
her hair every 6 weeks, and
when we wanted it cut, they
cut it for free. Can't beat
that deal!

I love her hair short. Because of
dance we've go to start letting
it grow out again.
