Miscellaneous Pictures

On the day that the kids
went to see Santa at the mall
they also got to meet a real
live astronaught. His name is
Hoot Gibson. It was lots of
fun to tell Daddy who we got
to meet and get their picture with.
Same day....we got to go
over to Mema's house and
visit her for a short time.
Took the opportunity to
grab a quick photo!

Emily and her classmates
all stood in front of this
cute Christmas tree at
school for a couple of
class projects. The tree
is made out of handprints!
What a unique idea!

Breakfast with Santa

Michael's school hosts
Breakfast with Santa every
year for the Kindergarteners.
It was so much fun! Could
this Santa look any more
perfect????
Mimi came and joined
us to eat breakfast.
Having just had gum
surgery, she did more
joining and less breakfasting!

Dicken's of a Christmas

Sunday we went to
downtown Franklin for
their annual "A Dicken's
of a Christmas" festival.
People walk around all
dressed up in Victorian
clothing and can buy
hot roasted chestnuts etc.
One of the many characters
walking up and down the
street. She had lollipops for
all the kids. Michael and
Emily couldn't wait to go
and see her!

Emily and Michael were
both given a penny from
Scrooge. Wow....big spender!

Visit with Santa

We got to go see Santa
on Saturday. Wow was
the line long! But it was
well worth the wait!

Michael looks like he is
bending Santa's ear.
We'll have to wait and
see if Santa has
thought he was a good
boy this year!

POW WOW

Kindergarten has a program
every year before Thanksgiving
called POW WOW. Here is
Michael during the POW WOW.

First they did quite a few
songs with actions while
being Indians.

Then they had a play. Some
were Pilgrims and some Indians.
Michael was one of the Pilgrim
men. Every time they were
mentioned in the play they had
a line to recite. It was very cute!

Ms. Cooper's Kindergarten
class. She was also Emily's
teacher in Kindergarten.

This is Maggie. Michael calls
her his girlfriend. Wow, he
sure is starting early. Her big
brother, Tyson, is in Emily's
3rd grade class this year. They
haven't been in class together
since Kindergarten. Kind of
freaky!

Thanksgiving Photos

I got the kids dudded up
for Thanksgiving and sat
them in front of Mom's
copper tree. I thought they
were pretty good and wanted
to share them with you!

John, Starla and Johnny all
came down to Tennessee for
Thanksgiving. The drive was
long and I know my kids
think it was definitely worth
it. They couldn't wait for
them to get here!
Johnny came over to our house
on Friday and the kids had a
great time. I managed to get
them to sit still just
long enough for the picture!

Shopping in Chattanooga

Don't ask me what I was
thinking when I set up to
meet my girlfriend for our
annual shopping day on the
day before Thanksgiving.

I know I did it because that
was the best date for me
to make. Little did
I think about it being
the busiest shopping day
of the year.

Kaitlin got to see Santa.
That sure is one big smile!

All the kids enjoyed a
ride on a kiddie carousel
at the mall in Chattanooga.

Alexander was a good
sport with the younger kids.

Last of the backyard photos!

This is the maple tree in our
backyard. To bad the sky
wasn't a pretty blue to really
show it off! I got the kids out and took
some more photos. I thought
they turned out pretty good!

Does Michael have
attitude or what!

Ohhhhh How sweet.
To bad they aren't like
this all the time!

More Fall Pictures

These were taken in Mom's
backyard. Thought I'd share...

Fall Pictures

Here is the first of three
installments of some
backyard photos of the
kids and the fall color.
Emily, Michael and Banner,
our 13 year old greyhound.
Here they are with Love, our
14 year old poodle we inherited
from Nana. I don't think Love
thought being held by Emily
was the greatest thing.

I'm Back!!!

Having taken another leave
of absence from posting....I
am back with loads of pictures
to share.
Get Geady, Get Set and Post!

Halloween Party

A couple of weeks ago
the kids went to a Pony
Club Halloween party.
Everyone dressed up their
ponies and themselves. They
were very creative in doing so!
Here are my kids.... Michael the Air Force Pilot
and Peanut his airplane.
We worked long and hard
on trying to figure out those
wings! Whew...they worked!

Witch Emily and Witch Rain.
To bad Rain's should be
witch with a capital B!
She doesn't like other ponies
getting to close to her. See the
red ribbon tied in her tail? That
is to let all the other pony riders
that she is a kicker. I tried to
get the biggest and reddest one
I could find!

This is Michael competing
in one of the games. Your
team had to move as much
"Brains" as they could from
one bucket to the other.
Michael's team won!

Gymnastics Class

Just wanted to share some
upside down pictures of Emily.
Got to remember to tell her
to take off those white panties!
She is good about
pointing those toes!

This is the goodbye cheer
at the end of the class with
her teacher, Ms. Stacy.

Ghouls at Grassmere

On Sunday night we went to
the Zoo in Nashville. It is located
at a historic home from 1810
called Grassmere. Every October
the zoo hosts a wonderful
event for the kids to come and
trick or treat safely.

Princess Emily and Air
Force Fighter Pilot Michael.

At the entrance we met
a couple of Ghostbusters!
Frankie joined us for the
night and we got pictures
with the guys and the ghosts!

The zoo has a great carousel
and Emily just had to ride
the giraffe. She did change
animals once she learned the
giraffe didn't actually go up
and down.

Michael on a black
bear. They both had
a great time on the ride.

Here are the kids posing
at one of the many photo ops.
Frankie was a Transformer.

Last Game of the Season

Michael played his last game
of the Franklin Fall Ball league
on Saturday. The boy sure
does love him some baseball!!!

Michael doesn't want to play
in the outfield so he'll run out
first and get the position he
wants. He got to play pitcher
during the first inning. It is
actually coach pitch, but they
put in someone at the position
of pitcher to play defensively.

Michael is Baseball Ready!

Michael got a new bat for his
birthday. It may be a little
long for him, but he loves it
anyway. He'll grow into it
someday. Today he smacked
the ball and Mom caught it
just after impact.

Looking from 2nd base
onto 3rd. Ready to run!

Big smiles for Mom at
3rd base. It helps when
Mom yells "Michael...smile!"

Granny and Grandaddy

Granny and Grandaddy took a
weekend excursion down to visit
with my parents in Naples. They
had a great visit with Mom, Dad
and Flat Michael. If anyone has
ever read the story "Flat Stanley"
you will appreciate Flat Michael
all the more. For those of you who
haven't read it, Michael made a
flat version of himself and put it
in the mail to go on various
trips. So far he's been to Knoxville,
Gloversville, Naples, Dollywood and
a UT football game. Quite an
exciting life for the little guy!

Granny and Grandaddy on
the deck at Mom's and Dad's
condo in Naples. Flat Michael
got to have his picture taken too.

I love this picture of Granny
and Grandaddy overlooking the
Gulf. Can you feel the Gulf
breezes? I know I can!
