Being stylish in his shades!
This is definitely new
for Michael. He has gotten
alot more confidence in
going under water. If he'd
only keep his mouth closed
he'd have more fun!

Swimming in Florida
Over spring break we
got some photos of Emily
and Michael taking a dip
in the pool. They had a
blast and made lots of
the noodle in the pool.
A split second late on
Emily's jump in!

Andersonville Prison
Over Spring Break we made a
short detour to Andersonville,
GA. This was the site of a very
deady Confederate prison during
the Civil War. It boggles the mind
to know they kept over 20000
prisoners on 7 acres.

found in the cemetary.
Kenneth's Great-Great Grandfather
died while imprisoned at Andersonville.
This is his headstone. Unfortunately the
records kept weren't entirely accurate and
thus the misspelling of his last name.
This is a recreation of where the
original stockade walls were.
The prison grounds look very
nice and well kept. Nothing like
what the reality was for the prisoners.

Interview Me!
My cousin Megan from
has sent me 5 questions that I will
post here with my answers. You, in turn,
can ask me to interview you and then you
post them to your blog. If you don't have
a blog, I will be happy to post them here on mine!
The Rules
1. Leave me a comment saying,
"Interview me."
2. I will respond by emailing you
five questions of my choice.
3. Then, you should update your
blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You have to include this explanation
and an offer to interview someone
else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be
interviewed, you get to ask them five questions.
So here are the questions Megan sent me:
1. How many Mustangs will you let
Kenneth have before you put your foot down?
Are we talking actual driveable automobiles?
We currently have 5. Kenneth has three
and they are the 1965, 1983 and 2005.
The other two belong to Emily and Michael.
You've seen pictures of them on this blog
if you've kept up with my postings since
Christmas. Kenneth won't be seriously
interested in another one until he gets
the 1965 all fixed up. It is currently taking
up half of the barn's aisle being as parts
are being fixed, replaced etc. I think that
there will never be more than 4 allowed
at any one time. I guess that means we
may be in for yet another one in the future.
Yikes!
2. If you had a day without the kids and
could do whatever you want, what would you do?
Oh the possibilities are endless.....Can
I get on a jet and go to Paris for the day?
Guess I should stick with what is actually
possible. Hmm.....I think I would
scrapbook. I've haven't done it in so
long that I'm in major withdrawal.
3. What sporting event in the whole
world would you most like to go to
(and sit in box seats, of course!)?
Kentucky Derby. No Question. To bad I'm
going to miss it tomorrow. Emily has a dance
competition and we'll not be able to watch it.
4. How many orange things are
in your wardrobe?
Clothes...4 or so shirts, 1 sweater,
2 purses, 7 pairs of earrings,
2 or 3 hats and 2 ponchos. There
probably is more than that, but I
can't remember anything else.
5. If you could learn one new skill,
what would it be? Why?
Wow....Hmm...I'd love to ballroom
dance. I am absolutely fascinated
with Dancing With The Stars. I
think it is just so beautiful and
elegant. There was a time when
Kenneth actually said he'd do it
once. To bad it is a bit pricey or
I'd take him up on it!
Emily's First Pony Club Event
Emily joined Pony Club this year.
Last Saturday we went to her first
upranking. She had to ride and
answer questions in order to pass
to her D1. I'm happy to say that she
did better riding than I expected and
she was spectacular with her
knowledge part of the test.
Emily and Rain riding for the
first time somewhere other
than at home in the small ring.

If Emily had her hands a little
closer together, this would
be a great shot!

It was a great afternoon and I
was very proud of Emily!
