Over Spring Break we made a
short detour to Andersonville,
GA. This was the site of a very
deady Confederate prison during
the Civil War. It boggles the mind
to know they kept over 20000
prisoners on 7 acres.

found in the cemetary.
Kenneth's Great-Great Grandfather
died while imprisoned at Andersonville.
This is his headstone. Unfortunately the
records kept weren't entirely accurate and
thus the misspelling of his last name.
This is a recreation of where the
original stockade walls were.
The prison grounds look very
nice and well kept. Nothing like
what the reality was for the prisoners.
